I am running a mediation model using DSEM. I test the direct A-C path in a model, then run another one with the mediator (A-B-C). I understand that there is no simple way to compare those models in DSEM. I was wondering whether it is a good idea to use the Deviance Information Criterion (DIC). Specifically, Asparouhov & Muthén, 2020 use it to decide whether to use a RDSEM or DSEM analysis. However can I also use the DIC to compare model fit of the A-C model with the A-B-C one? Thank you, Hend Eltanamly |

No, that won't work. |
