Hello- I am running a 3 class LCGA with covariates. But I want to change the reference group. I know to change the reference group you assign start values and have the wanted reference group to be the last class. I did this, but when my analyses are done running, the class I wanted to be the last/reference class is not the last class and another class that I assigned to be the second class is the last class. Any suggestions on how to address this problem? |

It's hard to say without seeing your output. It may be that the classes are not that distinct. Please send the output and your license number to support@statmodel.com. |

I'm learning to specifying a growth mixture model in Mplus. I'd like to change the reference class from the last class to the first, but I'm not sure how to do this. Suppose I have the following code: MODEL: %OVERALL% AINT BY TALC1YR1-TALC1YR3@1; ASLP BY TALC1YR1@0 TALC1YR2@1 TALC1YR3@2; [TALC1YR1-TALC1YR3@0 ]; TALC1YR1 TALC1YR2 TALC1YR3; AINT*.165 ASLP*.218; AINT WITH ASLP*.2320; %C#1% [ AINT*5.647 ASLP*.250]; %C#2% [AINT*4.000 ASLP*.003]; %C#3% [AINT*4.390 ASLP*1.035]; What would I change to switch the reference class? Thanks! |

%C#3% [ AINT*5.647 ASLP*.250]; %C#2% [AINT*4.000 ASLP*.003]; %C#1% [AINT*4.390 ASLP*1.035]; |

I am trying to change my reference category. My current code is: MODEL: %OVERALL% i s | NSEXDR1@0 NSEXDR2@1 NSEXDR3@2 NSEXDR4@3 NSEXDR5@4 NSEXDR6@5 NSEXDR7@6 NSEXDR8@7 NSEXDR9@8 NSEXDR10@9 NSEXDR11@10 NSEXDR12@11 NSEXDR13@12 NSEXDR14@13 NSEXDR15@14 NSEXDR16@15; %C#1% [i*0.260 s*-0.044]; %C#2% [i*-3.084 s*-0.071]; %C#3% [i*-0.675 s*-0.016]; I am not entirely sure how to change this code so that the %C#1% becomes the reference category. Thanks, Ian |

%C#3% [i*0.260 s*-0.044]; %C#2% [i*-3.084 s*-0.071]; %C#1% [i*-0.675 s*-0.016]; |
