Hi all! I have a setup with 3 mediator variables (M1,M2,M3) mediating one independent variable X on a dependent variable Y. The 3 mediator variables are dummies capturing only 0 (no) or 1 (yes). I now get the result that the three specific indirect effects are insignificant but the total indirect effect turns out be significant. How do I interprete this? Something only if all mediator variables are present (meaning all are 1) the mediation takes place? thx in advance, best regards, Benjamin |

That sounds plausible. |
